from Fleming College:
“Fleming College and Sheridan College have signed a new agreement that provides a pathway from a Fleming diploma to the Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design (BC&D) degree at Sheridan.
The agreement applies to eligible graduates of Fleming’s Visual and Creative Arts Diploma program who have specialized in fibre arts, glassblowing or ceramics. Fleming graduates can enter directly into the second year of the four-year BC&D. These students will be further exempt from select courses within the degree program.
“A partnership with Sheridan College provides Fleming College graduates with an opportunity to seamlessly continue developing their studio practice while earning an Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design. Further, this pathway is an acknowledgment of the degree ready skills that our students develop during their studies at Haliburton School of Art + Design,” said Sandra Dupret, Dean of the Haliburton School of Art + Design and Principal of the Haliburton Campus.
The Visual and Creative Arts Diploma, part of the Haliburton School of Art + Design, covers fundamental art and design principles and builds critical skills such as design, drawing and media applications. This is paired with the intensive studio courses in a specific medium.”
