The Medicine Hat College Conservatory of Music and Dance

Medicine Hat College

The Medicine Hat College Conservatory of Music and Dance is an important contributor to the Southern Alberta arts community – one that also enjoys the distinction of being one of the institution’s eldest programming areas, opening its doors shortly after the College was founded in 1965.

On an annual basis, almost 1,000 multi-generational students enrol in private instruction and/or group classes, with many former students having moved on to successful professional arts careers, with still others having developed a foundational, lifetime love for the arts—simply discovering the joy of music, art, dance, and drama.

Additionally, the Conservatory continues to position itself as an outreach arm of the College and is proud to be a leader in community engagement—a nucleus, or cultural centre for arts and arts education in Medicine Hat and the surrounding area.
